  2. Determine the acceptable evidence that results have been achieved
  3. Design experiences that will lead to achievement
    1. Developed for traditional teachers who often started with textbooks and activities and made these fit the outcomes.
    2. Backward Design: Reverse engineering
    3. Emphasizes giving big ideas to students
