Mount Saint Mary College eLearning Module Development

Updated visual design!

I had some time and inspiration and so I asked the professor if I could play with the visual design of the course. Here’s the result. From an instructional design standpoint it is the same course. I had some fun with the graphics and came up with a different take on the same content. I started this version with a quick high fidelity storyboard in Sketch 3 to get some feedback from the Professor. She was a fan of the direction I was going so I proceeded to create the elements in Illustrator and Photoshop then build the module in Captivate 9.

Project Description

I worked with a Mount Saint Mary College Professor to upgrade one of her lessons from a Prezi to a self-contained eLearning module developed through Adobe Captivate.

Here’s the original Prezi. You can also watch the quick video to the right which goes through the basic flow of the original document.

Moving this lesson out of Prezi and in to Captivate allows easier and faster navigation by the students as well as removing the Professor’s dependency on externally hosted video content.

This project was the first time the professor had worked with Captivate for her classes and is now evaluating transitioning this entire course to Captivate based modules.

The class design is beautiful.  Can’t wait to hear what the students say. Thanks for all the effort you invested in this project.
